PFLAG Meeting Sept 12th!

Back from summer vacation!

This month we have a special guest, Katherine Blodgett, a parent of a LGBTQIA person and a member of the Bend-La Pine Gender Sexuality Alliance in schools.

She can provide anecdotes of her personal experience but also how to help start up a GSA in your local school, how to find a supportive teacher, and get backed by the school board to create a safe place in your school for LGBTQIA+ Kids and ally's among their peers.

All parents, of all experiences are welcome and connect in this great group setting on how to set up your child for success and safety in the often politicized climate of gender and sexual identity.

A few other topics to note! PFLAG cares about YOU, and wins you've had over the summer. Let's network and find about the good work you are doing and spotlight it!

So Close to the Poison Waters Drag Show, tickets are starting to sell fast! We will be featuring items for LIVE auction as well as a comedic gold time! Funds raised will go to 2024 Scholarship for Central Oregon LGBTQIA+ Allies high school seniors to help alleviate funds for school.
